Do I need to be home during the estimate?
Not necessarily—but it helps. We’ll need to measure your yard, so if there are any obstacles in the way or if you already have a fence we need access through, those will need to be moved or unlocked ahead of time. If you can’t be there, just let us know how to access the space and we’ll take it from there.
How long does it take to build a fence?
Building a fence usually takes between 2 to 5 days, depending on the size and style of the fence, the terrain, the weather, and other on-site conditions. More complex builds or tricky ground can take a bit longer, while straightforward projects may wrap up faster.
How long do I have to wait between my fence being built and it being stained?
A good rule of thumb is to wait 4–8 weeks after your fence is built before staining. This gives the wood time to dry out, helping the stain soak in and stick evenly.
Can I choose the stain color?
Absolutely. When it comes to stain, we’ll first ask whether you’re looking for a transparent, semi-transparent, or solid finish. From there, we’ll walk you through our recommended brands and color options—but in the end, the choice is all yours.
